Picking the Right Diamond Core Bits
Many construction jobs require cutting through hard materials, providing access for wiring, pipes or just to open interior spaces for further work. Using diamond core bits with a heavy-duty drill is an effective and efficient way to complete these tasks. We have drill core bits are available in a wide range of lengths and sizes, ensuring that the depth and width of your cutting is exact.
The wide range of different diamond core bits available can seem daunting. We have compiled a shortlist of the key characteristics to look out for when you need a diamond core bit.
Wet or Dry
It is important to know ahead of time if you will be cutting wet or dry. While most diamond core bits we sell support both methods, it is always worth taking the time to check.
Will you be drilling through a single material, or does your job require drilling through a few different types? If you are going to use the diamond core bits exclusively for drilling through concrete, for example, you may want to invest in a specialist bit. If, however, you will also need to drill through brick, stone or other masonry then you should consider a diamond core bit with a wider range.
Length and Diameter
Not all diamond core bits are available in every length and diameter. Make sure that any holes you are drilling are wide enough to provide the necessary access. Also consider the space you will have to drill in. If there is no room for a right-angle drill, you may still be able to go through at an angle. We would suggest using a drill stand if that is the case, ensuring your diamond core bit drill through evenly.
Diamond core bits are available in gold, silver and bronze performance grades. Consider how long you would like to keep the drill bit for. A more expensive diamond core bit that lasts will work out cheaper than repeatedly replacing a lower performance grade.
We hope that helps you pick out the diamond core bit which is right for you. For more information on the Husqvarna Diamond Core Bits range, you can visit this link: Husqvarna Diamond Core Bits
